Spill It

This Thursday, November 13, from 3-7 pm Dumbarton Elementary School will be hosting another blood drive in my honor.

If you're local and you've got blood, head on over and share the wealth. I know I've done my fair share of taking these past months. Call ahead to the school and let them know you'll be there so the VA Blood Services can have a good estimate of attendance.

If you're not local and you've got blood, find some time to donate if you can. It's a worthy endeavor. Sure, the free snacks are nice but saving someone else's life in an afternoon is like superhero awesome.

We won't be able to participate in the blood drive in Richmond, but Chris and I both plan to attend the one taking place Nov. 18 at the local community college. It's exactly 56 days (or whatever the magic # is) since the one they had at RBC, how convenient! Hopefully I won't get sick the following weekend this time. But then again, that's a small price to pay for being able to help someone in need.

You are in my thoughts and prayers always.

Love you,
Steph

As much as I'd like to donate, The Red Cross has this completely ass backwards policy that says that us gays can't give blood. I don't know, some medieval ass belief that we all have HIV/AIDS. So apparently, they'd rather let people die then remove their heads from their tuchus and let us help out. Oh well. Good on you for raising awareness of blood drives!
