Like Bullets in a Revolver

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, right? Then I give props to Miz Jamie as I rip off her latest blog post.

Can you describe the entirety of your life in six words? Such is the question posed by the new book, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure.

After providing several of her own examples, Jamie presented the tiny memoir challenge to the readers of her blog, and here's what Yours Truly cooked up:

Late bloomer finally flowers, quickly wilts.

Not bad, huh? Especially considering poetry was never my forte; I couldn't get brevity right, not to mention rhyme and meter. And I hate, hated haiku.

So what's your life in six words?

Very cool - and yes, muey poetic.

I came up with three, mainly describing "me" rather than "my life"

fickle for one who desires permanence

too normal to be truly weird

confused, hopeful but never unsure

psha, and the last one was only five words. Minimalistic genius or just unable to count?

You decide.

"Minimalistic genius or unable to count" actually works pretty well!

Manda - love yours!
Alex - add the word "and" and you'll have six words.

Me?
Today - Not feeling creative at all today.
OR - Happily Married, Wanting My Own Baby (shh...)

10 years ago - Love to flirt and not commit.

15 years ago - I love James Camerson Bailey forever.
(I know, truly sad)

That is all I got for now - I'm so disappointed in me!

Survives on coffee, alcohol, and love.
